Show your work in our gallery while simultaneously supporting the arts in our community! Luck of the Draw is our annual fundraiser, where ticket-holders take home original works donated by artists in our community. Submissions to this exhibition will be won by ticket-holders, with proceeds going to support the Santa Cruz Art League’s 2027 Exhibitions.
This exhibition is open to all and is not juried. There is no limit to the number of pieces you may submit. Submitted artwork will be on display in the gallery from October 28 - November 7 before being win during the event on November 7. A submission form will be linked here beginning on September 1.

This year’s theme, Simple Pleasures, was selected through a vote by our community. We invite you to reflect on the small, meaningful moments that bring joy, whether found in food shared with friends, time in nature, beloved pets, creative rituals, or the everyday beauty that surrounds us. As a Santa Cruz based organization, we especially encourage work that connects to the simple pleasures found in our local landscape and community.
Open to all mediums and styles, this exhibition honors the many ways our members experience and express joy. This exhibition is open to all artists with a current SCAL membership as of the exhibition’s opening date: November 18. Each member is invited to submit one piece.
The Members’ Exhibition is filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and is not juried. Our curator will select a size limit and a maximum number of pieces that can be admitted into the gallery. Submissions may be declined if they exceed the size limit without having received an exemption from the curator, or if we have already reached the maximum number of submissions. As such, we encourage artists to submit well before the deadline to make sure there is still space.
