Our Facilities
The Santa Cruz Art League is located at 526 Broadway, Santa Cruz, CA, 95060, in the heart of midtown and conveniently close to downtown Santa Cruz.
Our facilities include our 62-seat blackbox theater, our cozy classroom, and our gallery space. Scroll down to find more details on our facilities and learn about our rental rates and policies!
Lobby and Gift Shop
Our welcoming lobby space features a modern glass reception desk, a comfortable sofa, and our abundant gift shop.
If you are interested in selling your artwork in our gift shop, please email admin@scal.org.
Classroom
Our comfortable classroom can host up to 22 students and includes tables, chairs, easels, butcher paper, and a large sink in the adjacent workspace.
This space is not exclusively for visual arts classes. Our classroom has hosted summer camps, ukulele classes, private art events and pop-up exhibitions.
Spotlight Gallery
Our Spotlight Gallery consists of three wall hanging locations in our lobby. Perfect for small exhibitions, our Spotlight Gallery often highlights one artist or a selection of standout pieces from a larger exhibition.
The Spotlight Gallery is currently only available to rent to Santa Cruz Art League members. If you are interested in renting the Spotlight Gallery for a personal exhibition, please contact our Exhibition and Program Curator, Heejin Lee: heejin@scal.org.
Gallery
We are thrilled to be able to host a large number of exceptional exhibitions in our locally acclaimed gallery every year. If you are interested in renting our gallery space to use for an exhibition or private event, please email admin@scal.org to inquire with our office.
Broadway Playhouse
The Broadway Playhouse is a 62 seat black box theatre, equipped with lighting and sound systems, curtains, and a small backstage area. It hosts resident theatre companies WEST Performing Arts and the Fun Institute. The Broadway Playhouse is available for rent when not in use by these resident companies.
