SCAL is thrilled to host our monthly First Friday receptions! Join us for refreshments, community, and incredible exhibitions. Our receptions are 5-7:30 on the First Friday of the month, but our exhibitions are up for much longer. Check out our upcoming exhibitions page to see what we have in the gallery!

First Friday receptions at the Santa Cruz Art League are FREE for anyone to attend, and our gallery is always free to visit!

For more than five decades, Yermo Aranda has devoted his life to creating art that honors community, ancestry, and the living spirit of culture. As one of the central figures in California’s mural movement, Aranda’s creative practice extends far beyond public walls — encompassing a rich body of drawings, color studies, and studio works that reveal the evolution of his vision and philosophy. Come celebrate his work at our First Friday Reception on February 6.
