How can I have my work displayed in your gallery?

There are lots of ways to be a part of our exhibitions. Check out our upcoming exhibitions page and see if any of them relate to what you do!

How do I apply my membership discount when I’m signing up for a class?

To apply your membership discount, enter the promo code SCALmember during checkout. This will apply the discount if you currently have a membership in our system.

What if my membership discount promo code isn’t working?

This could happen for two reasons:

  1. Your membership has expired. Check your email to see if you have received any communication from us about needing to renew.

  2. Your membership was purchased before we switched to our new registration service (in September 2024), so your membership has not yet been added to our new system. Follow these instructions to transfer your membership over. Once you’re finished, your discount promo code should work.

I want to get a piece of art appraised, can SCAL help me?

As a nonprofit, we are not able to appraise the value of art. We recommend you look into an appraisal service or auction house.

How does it work if I sell my work through your gallery or gift shop?

Pieces sold in our gallery have a commission rate of 30/70 (70% to the artist) for members and 45/55 (55% to the artist) for non-members. You will receive payment after the exhibition closes and we have processed all the sales.

Selling art through our gift shop is a perk only available to our members, so the commission rate is the 30/70 member rate.
