Step Into Santa Cruz: The SCAL 2025 Member’s Exhibition

Join us in celebrating the creativity of our artistic community! The Santa Cruz Art League Members’ Exhibition is a showcase of art by current members, open to the public to enjoy!

This year’s exhibition will be our first Members Show to have a theme! We want to see this community’s expression of what you love (or don’t love) about our town. You art can literally depict Santa Cruz landscapes and locations, or you can express how living here makes you feel, why you chose to live here, or any other reflections you have on Santa Cruz as a hometown! All interpretations are welcome, from the abstract to the literal, and as always our members show welcomes all mediums and styles.

The Santa Cruz Art League has been able to maintain a space for artistic expression and growth since 1919, thanks to our extensive membership made up of artists from all walks of life. Through the Members’ Exhibition, we celebrate our present cohort and honor our past. We extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of our dedicated members whose support has been instrumental in keeping our organization alive. As we draw the curtains on 2024, we take great pleasure in showcasing the exceptional talents of our diverse group of artists. Embrace the beauty of artistic expression in all its forms, as we welcome a myriad of mediums that is truly representative of our artistic community.

How to Submit Artwork:

Interested in submitting a piece to this year’s members’ exhibition? We accept artwork on a first-come first serve basis. Every SCAL member is invited to submit one (1) piece of artwork until we reach our limit on submissions. Here are the key dates:

Submissions Open: October 1st, 2025

Submission Deadline: November 9th, 2025 (or when we reach out maximum number of pieces)

Artwork Drop Off: November 12th and 14th, 1-4pm

Artwork Pick Up: December 19th, 4-6pm and December 20th, 1-4pm

Submission Fee: Free for SCAL members
