Artist Trading Card (ATC) Gallery
Trade and display Artist Trading Cards in the Santa Cruz Art League ATC Gallery!
Miniature art has enticed people for centuries across the globe, and now it can be enjoyed in a novel, collaborative form via ATC Mini Galleries!
The rule is "trade, don't take.” This is a non-digital, tangible art experience that brings joy through community art appreciation and inspiration, as well as promoting art creation and local participation.
Add some creative whimsy to your day with the option to become a participating artist for free! Our ATC Gallery features original, handmade artworks in any 2D art media on standard ATC size cards (2.5" x 3.5"). You will be familiar with this standard size if you know of the free, global ATC art movement or have collected or traded baseball cards, comic cards, fantasy game cards, or playing cards.
To join in, simply bring your own ATC art creation and swap it for one of the ATCs already displayed in the ATC Gallery. Sign and date your ATC if desired, but provide no contact info or links. ATC Galleries are not for self-promotion, but for communal art viewing and local art trading.
Drawing and painting small is fast, fun, and addictive! Be loose and abstract, or detailed and precious, all paths lead to little art gems! Creative practice at smaller sizes is low pressure, not overwhelming, and leaves you feeling productive, more comfortable exploring various techniques and art materials, and creatively satisfied.
