Artist Bio:
Jeff Arnett is a poet and sculptor living in Santa Cruz, California with his wife Patricia. and his 1960 Metropolitan. His daughter Miranda lives and works in Arcata, California.
After graduating from UC Santa Cruz with two BAs and a detour in retailing with local stores ID and the BX, he returned to writing with a masters in creative writing at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He taught writing at UCSC for 26 years while trying to maintain his own connection to word and stone.
Finally retired, Arnett has the time and passion for creating stone, bronze and wood sculptures. Since becoming involved in Santa Cruz Opens Studios ten years ago, he has created over two hundred sculptures and continues to write and publish his poetry.
