The Abstract Figure

Class is Full!

Levels: All Levels

Offered: Weekend Workshop, Nov. 3rd & 4th, 10am - 3pm

Instructor: Sefla Joseph

Sefla Joseph’s Abstract Figurative Workshop is a process of exploration and discovery. We will be exploring the inner workings of what lies within the human figure: the aches and joys of human experience. Using color, shapes, bold and loose brushwork, layering, and texturing, we will work intuitively with the figure to convey emotions. This workshop is designed for all levels of painters, both beginners and more experienced painters who would like to loosen up.
Sefla Joseph is a figurative abstract artist who grew up in Montreal, Canada. Sefla’s images remind us of our own resilience and inspire us on our journeys, finding our authentic selves. Sefla’s work is exhibited internationally. She now paints and teaches locally in Santa Cruz, California. She has been an Open Studio artist for over a decade. It is her hope that her paintings will connect those who view them with the compassion in their own hearts, and remind us all of our connection to each other.
