Making A Mark, a one day workshop with a live model aimed at exploring marks to describe an image.
The poses will range from gesture to long pose. We will cover different approaches to drawing the figure and how to express / exaggerate intent in our drawing.
Dry media is recommended. Peel away charcoal and charcoal sticks on smooth newsprint paper is my favorite.
Meet the Instructor:
Lisa Lopez is a teaching artist working throughout the Central Coast with all ages to play and expand their knowledge in visual arts. In addition to figure drawing, her experience includes teaching stop motion animation to 4th graders, leading an arts summer internship for high school students in collaboration with ESTA/ CSUMB, and instructing private art lessons. She returned home to Salinas after earning her Bachelors of Fine Arts from California State University Long Beach. Lisa’s joy resides inside the studio, drawing and capturing movement through energetic lines.
