Drawing from life and study of anatomy is a time honored tradition of master artists to improve skills in depicting the human form. We spread our learning adventure over eight weeks, focusing on the skeletal structure and major muscles of a different portion of the body each week. Students will sketch from a live model to reinforce the day’s lesson, then draw the complete figure to put in context. By course end, participants should be able to identify and draw all the major visible forms of the human body.

Meet the Instructor:

Darren has taught figure drawing and anatomy for several years at Pacific Art League and Santa Cruz Art League. He has an MFA in figurative painting from the Academy of Art in San Francisco and a BS in Computer Science.
