About Animal Art:

Young artists, 5 years and up, create animals in their natural habitats using scientific drawing techniques and references.  Students will be using multiple media from simple pencils, to pens, pastels, watercolor pencils and watercolor paint. Artists work at their own pace with their own chosen “creature”.

In collaboration with the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History, we get special guests apprentices from local wild life! The Museum has made some of their specimens available to Linda’s class in order to help students with observational and scientific drawing.

Materials will be provided.

Critters of the River!

Birds, bugs, Fish, and Plants: This series focuses on creatures found in our very own San Lorenzo River. Students will be invited to see, learn, and  celebrate our local river through the diverse species that call it home! Linda is excited to help find what interests each individual to promote self-guided discovery and learning.
