Young artists will do observational drawing of plants and animals, in multiple media (watercolor, chalk) . We will make paint from dirt, flowers & leaves. Create mandalas and build sculptures from natural world materials. Explore photography, printmaking & charcoal rubbings. On the last day, Friday we will curate our own exhibit to share with family and friends.

Join artist Linda Cover for a week of fun, creativity, and artistic growth this summer. Campers get to explore the Art League gardens and experiment with the artistic process. Each day, artists will get to learn chalk art, observational sketching, paint making, assemblage, printmaking, and photography: Culminating in an exhibition of their work!

On the last day of class, families and friends can come see all their hard work, before taking their projects home, and celebrate the artistic achievements of each participant.

Linda Cover, a SPECTRA teaching artist, has taught in schools throughout Santa Cruz County and at the Tannery Arts Center, for many years. She has received multiple educator awards, and her students have received numerous national, international, and local awards for their work.
